Exhange test for Information store

Can hostmon create a test where you can test the information store in exchange system manager to see whether it is mounted or dismounted?

I don't want to just test the service, I also need to know if the information store is in a 'mounted' state.

Is there a way you can perform this test?

Test templates

Hi guys, I'm writing up some test templates for all the various servers and thought knowing what other sys admin/hostmon guys have done I need to have a template which will standardize most servers. E.g Domain controllers, Terminal servers, Exchange servers, SBS servers, File servers, Database serve...

I seem to have the strangest habit of answering my own questions :)

I found out how, just in the rmacfg.exe I select all the tests in the right hand pane. Is there a way I can push it all out from the RMA manager though rather than doing it for each individual client?

And I want the result to be the output of whether the login was successful or not. Do I have to create a shell script for a particular test li...

Hi Alex,
We put an agent locally on the server and it worked. The problem was because the server was running win2k web edition which gave all sorts of issues due to RPC lockdowns.

Thank you for your help :)

Yes I did,
Also created another domain administrator account and tested that from a different server with the same test successfully.

Hi,
Thanks for that. I have checked all those settings. None of which seem to be out of order...
I'm still no closer to getting this resolved.

It works perfectly on the same agent but a different computer that I'm running the CPU test from...I don't understand that

Are there any other reasons why it wouldn't work? As the account which I use is an admin account. We changed the administrator username for security reasons (yeah i know the SID still stays the same) but could this have a possible impact? I'm also getting 'access is denied' for setting up some of th...

Upgrade from 5.64beta to 6.00beta

Hey Alex, I've just upgraded our version from 5.64beta to 6.00 beta. The install worked fine, but before I upgraded I backed up my last test. I had disabled all the tests in that backup too. I upgraded to 6.0 beta and loaded up the test with the disabled alerts, but now i'm unable to enable the test...

That's what I am doing at current.
Our firm looks after quite a few clients and each client has it's own particular escalation procedure.
Do you think this could be a potential issue with scalability?

Adding different alert profiles for individual tests
