Ability to alert if a certain process is using "X"
Hi Alex, Long time no forum post for me... We are having an issue with an Antivirus app running wild with the CPU. It would be beneficial to be able to alert and run script if a certain process exceeded a certain % of the CPU. We love hostmonitor! Keep up the good work. Thank you for the Test Pause ...

Supply local admin credentials - stop\restart hostmonitor
We are monitoring many machines in workgroups successfully...but not without a few hiccups here and there. First, you'll need to supply the local admin credentials of the workgroup server for each test and probably stop\start the hostmonitor service. I have noticed that when I add a new username and...

Tests using Name do not work - have to switch to IP address
Hi Alex, Hostmonitor 5.38 Windows Server 2003 This issue has occured periodically over several versions. It is still happening occasionally with 5.38. I can connect to a machine remotely (from the machine (start>run) hostmonitor is running on) using a unc path such as \\servername\c$. However, when ...

Upgrade
Hi Alex,
I think we skipped over 5.34. So, that probably would have fixed it for us too. Thanks! Hostmonitor is still the best!

Hostmonitor WAS crashing on us a lot...
We consistently had problems with hostmonitor hanging every few days using the last couple releases and we couldn't find the cause; however, when we upgraded to 5.38 all those issues have gone away. The app has been running well for two weeks straight with no crash\memory leak\etc. We are running Wi...

Does test deletion show up in system log?
Hi Alex,
When a test is removed from hostmonitor does this event show up in any logs?
We have an issue where many tests have "disappeared" and I'm trying to determine if something in hostmonitor is wrong or if someone deleted them.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Works with quotes outside of hostmonitor...
Correct Marcus. The script works with quotes when I run it outside of hostmonitor...from the command line on the server. But, when it is triggered via the external program execution within hostmonitor it does not work. So, to get around having to use quotes I just created a share (without spaces in ...

Select Color for Bad Alert
Hi Alex, Would it be possible to have an option "Select Color for Bad Alert" for each test? Some tests we setup just perform actions based on certain conditions that aren't really failures. So, the ability to have those show up as yellow or blue instead of red would be nice. So, when we ar...

Created share so I could remove quotes around path - works
I created a share so the script would not need quotes around the source path and now the execute external program action works correctly for the xcopy command. I can use this workaround but would prefer not to have to create a share if a foldername contains spaces. Can you duplicate this issue? Thx,...
