I can pull stats (such as in/outbound octets) from my router, but I need to be able to fire an action when bandwidth usage ((difference between two values)/time) goes above a certain amount. I would also like to be able to record that bandwidth usage number and graph it (like MRTG)
How can I possibly do this with HostMonitor? It does everything else I need except for the above...if I can get it to do it I am ready to buy!
Bandwidth monitoring via SNMP for Cisco router
HostMonitor 3.32 can check difference between two values ("changes by" option). You know time interval between two consecutive tests, so you can calculate ((difference between two values)/time) value. Probably in next version will be implemented "changes by .. per sec" option.
About graph.. I don't when it will be possible.
