I run Host Monitor on a Windows 2000 server with SP3, monitoring a Windows NT server Sp6 with Terminal Services.
This is the Memory result I get:
Available bytes: 475 Mb
Commited bytes: 154 Mb
Commit Limit: 2070 Mb
How come available bytes is higher than commited bytes ?
Isn't Available byte equal to the Available Physical memory and Commited bytes equal to available Virtual memory ?
Bug in performance Counter or Windows
>How come available bytes is higher than commited bytes ?
I think its possible. Committed Bytes is the amount of physical memory for which space has been reserved on the disk paging file. It doesn't mean size of paging file or size of virtual memory, it can be less that available memory counter.
