Action Profiles

Post by Glen »

Hi there,
I recently upgraded hostmon to 6.00 and I managed to lose all my alert profiles.
Now I saved some previous .hml files which have the monitoring list running, but when i restore an hml file it doesn't restore the old alert profiles...
Is there a way I can view my old alert profiles from the .hml? What is the necessary files required to view old alert profiles

Strange problem. Did you use "Update/Repair" installation mode?

.hml file contains only tests information. Action profiles are stored in actions.lst file. So, you should try to restore actions.lst file into HostMonitor folder.
Anyway, before Upgrade operation we would suggest you to backup all *.LST, *.INI and *.HML files from HostMonitor folder, just in case.

If you copy some configuration files, start HostMonitor, then copy other configuration files, you will lose links between profiles.
You should copy all configuration files (*.HML, *.LST, *.INI) at once and then start HostMonitor
