Oops...I was attempting to reply to the following post:

"Is HostMonitor capable of monitoring a NT service on a Server in a DMZ, or should it be installed on the Server itslelf?"

Yes, as long as your firewall is configured to allow internal originating netbios traffic to enter and return from the DMZ.
