Help with File Tree Test

Post by timn »

I've been asked to create the following test:

Code: Select all

There is a file tree that exists starting at:

\\hostname\sharename\treeroot\....

When all systems are running correctly, one or more new files will be created SOMEWHERE in the tree roughly every 12 hours (though its name or exact position in the tree won't be known ahead of time). Generate an alert if no files were created anywhere in the tree in the past 24 hours"?
Is this possible

Sure, you may use Count Files test. Mark "Include subfolders" option and use "Count files newer than N min" mode.

If you need to scan folders on remote system, its good idea to use RMA (Remote Monitoring Agent)
