Alex,
When I use a filename mask of *.?????? , I will count only files with just 6 chars after the dot.
Now, HM counts every file with an extension of at least 3 chars. (same as *.???)
When I use *.??, HM counts only files with an extension of 2 chars. (this is ok)
Is this a problem/bug or by design ?

Its not a bug. HostMonitor sends this mask to OS API. So, the way it works is totally depends on Windows.
