Hiya all,

I know there are a few topics here covering tape drives.
However, I can't just yet find the right test to check if a tape is inserted in a tapedrive or not.
It's an external SCSI HP Ultrium LTO4 tapedrive, connected to the server running HM.
I can read the WMI data for it, but as far as I can see there's no value for the tape being inserted.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Kris

We cannot find manual for your device.
Do you have manual? Does it say anything about SNMP protocol (usually HP devices/software support SNMP)?

Regards
Alex

Tried to find some information... looks like software that comes with your device can send SNMP Trap messages and I assume it supports SNMP Get requests as well. But we could not find manual with detailed information.
I think you should ask manufacturer, they know for sure how their own device and software works
