Which test method returns this error? HTTP? It means HostMonitor are not able to establish TCP connection with web server.

Actually there are just several different error codes: 1005 - winsock error, 1006 - timeout error, 1007 - resource allocation error. Traditionally HostMonitor uses different statuses to inform about problem:
- unknown: HostMonitor cannot perform the test due to some error on local system (e.g. resource allocation error)
- unknown host: host name cannot be resolved to IP address
- no answer: HostMonitor cannot retrieve information from web server (cannot establish TCP connection)
- bad: HostMonitor can connect to the server but cannot retrieve page (e.g. page not found error)
- bad contents: HostMonitor retrieved web page but it does not fit specified conditions
