All questions related to installations, configurations and maintenance of Advanced Host Monitor (including additional tools such as RMA for Windows, RMA Manager, Web Servie, RCC).
We are able to reproduce this problem. But it doesn't help much because Windows API does not return any error code/description if HostMonitor is staretd in service mode
E.g. If we start HostMonitor as application and remove help file, Windows returns "invalid help file" error. But if we do the same in service mode, Windows does not return any error. It simply does not display help without any error code.
I think this problem appeared after some security patch. Will try to find explanation in Microsoft articles....
Meantime there is simple workaround - start Help from HostMonitor's program group. Or create desktop link to hostmon.chm file
I cannot guarantee we find solution - Windows is not in our hands.
BTW: May be HostMonitor version 6 will not provide GUI in service mode at all. RCC was designed to provide access to HostMonitor started on remote system and/or in service mode.
