Unfortunately I am not administrator on Yahoo, I cannot say what's wrong.
Probably Yahoo uses another authentication method? Did you try to use Plain or Cram-MD5 authentication?

Do you use free yahoo account? As far as I know yahoo allows web access to read/send mail for free, but it wants money for SMTP access.
BTW Did you work with this account using other mail clients (like Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger)?

You can scan networks and find hundreds SMTP servers, many of these servers will accept your mail without authorization. However I don't think administrator of the server will be happy to see outsider traffic. Much better use your own mail server, or mail server of your ISP.
