This isn't necessarily for Alex, but I want to setup monitoring of our HP printers to get the LED display (which usually reads "READY") so that we can tell when there are printer jams ... I have used SNMP walk, but when I put the object ID in the test field, and try to get the current value, it tells me it cannot ... Is there anything anywhere that has those codes ??? I've checked HPs web site and found nothing so far ... Anyone else monitoring printers ??? |

Have you made sure that the community strings match. Unsecured ones are generally "public"

Yes, I know the community string ... I can get some basic SNMP tests to respond, but not items that I'd like to monitor ... |
