Bug in perf counters NOT HostMonitor - advice?

Post by FLynch »

Hi,

We use AHM for monitoring a SAN, using a set off supplied performance counters. Anyhow...

when the SAN is 'rebooted' the drive letter designation as seen in performance counters changes from, for example:

%disk time\3: E:

to

%disk time\3: E: E:

..thus I loose the AHM perf counter to "unknown" status (naturally) as it cannot see the relevant drives.

Eventually, after a fluctuating number of reboots, the SAN goes back to seeing drives, with the correct syntax of:

%disk time\3: E:

Any bright ideas?

Cheers
Fergus
