hello,

it seems that there is a dependecy on locals in the header part of syslog messages.

(But it would be nice if especially the message part further depends on locals.)

When i use a paket capturer i receive
<134>Okt 31 ... This should be <134>Oct 31 ... to be rfc3164 compatible. Only english month names are acceptable.

Another (not so important) point: It would be nice if the hostname/ip part of the header could be turned off (as in most of *nix implementations, not rfc compliant).

regards
Michael
