RMA for RHEL5?

Post by timn »

I'm investigating whether we can run HM RMA on a couple of servers we have at Rackspace. These servers both run Red Hat EL5. One is and AMD processor and the other Intel.

Has anyone run the RMA on RHEL5?

The only thing I could get from Rackspace Tech when he looked at the HM documentation was:
I do not see specific support for RHEL 5, only 3/4. I cannot predict whether it will be compatible. Also, server #xxxxx is 64-bit, which may cause dependency issues if Advanced Host Monitor only provides 32-bit versions. I recommend contacting them regarding RHEL 5 and 64-bit compatibility.

Its pretty easy to try RMA on your system.
If it does not work, we can recompile agent or provide source codes...
