I checked code and tested HostMonitor on several systems, everything is fine. I cannot reproduce this problem. May be you use some old version of HostMonitor?

When you start the application do you use the same account to logon to the console as you use when running HM as a service or another account?
If you use another account, logon with the account that is used to run HM as a service. Stop the service and start HM as an application. Now again test by stopping the main HM service. This must give some answers to what is happening.
It really looks like you don't have enough permissions on the other server.

Probably you typed wrong password when specified account and HostMonitor cannot use that account. Could you please check Event Log? When HostMonitor starts in service mode it records information event with description like "Logged on as user XXX", Event ID 1002. If HostMonitor cannot use specified account it records error message.

The idea of this forum is to have a place to ask you questions in time of need. You needed it, you got an answer, your problem is fixed.
It works! |
