Hi,
Any idea on a time frame for a web interface release for ver4.0. I am in need of a web interface and need to decide whether to look at alternates or await your next major release.
Need to monitor systems on a 24hour basis and a brach that is in another region is prepared to monitor if we have a web interface. |

You can create your own web-interface using the report options. Only disadvantage is that you can't change the test itself (so not a real web-interface for HM).
But if the other regions does just monitoring it is enough.

Thanx Marcus. However I am missing your suggestion on the web interface. My view would be that the remote site takes over and actually monitors the tests we have running of the Hostmonitor system.
Is your suggestion that of generating web reports every x minutes and then the remote site view the reports.Pls advise.
Thanx |

Yes it is. You can create any type of web-based report using the custom-html option. Just create .html files and offer them on a web-server. |

As Marcus said, that would be a good solutions. We have been using this method for a while, basically created a frame page that had a menu on top to chose between different reports, time module, and a refresh. In IIS, you should make a virtual dir that points to your HostMon's logs directory, or have HostMon save reports to one of your Inetpub folders.
If you want more details, or would like copies of our custom pages I created, email me at this forum.
