|
|
Hi guys,
I have a bunch of similar RDS servers on which I perform CPU usage tests.
Pretty basic so far.
Occasionally, I select a group or all these CPU usage tests to see if the load is evenly distributed over the RDS farm.
I use the 'Performance Chart' for this end.
This works pretty good, but because the Performance Charts are always Auto Scaling, the view over a bunch of servers is always like it is evenly distributed.
You have to look real hard at the scaling to determine what you're actually looking at.
Long story short:
For me, it would be handy to be able to disable Auto-Scaling in 'Performance Charts'.
Thanks! |

Of course, I meant 'History Charts' (which are called 'Performance Chart' in the Web interface, very confusing )
But I guess you already figured that out.... |

HostMonitor/RCC GUI right?
Something like new switch
- autoscale each chart
- scale by highest chart
On the other hand, we can fix scale for CPU Usage tests, always use 100% as maximum.

Hi Alex,
Yes, Hostmonitor/RCC gui.
Maybe use global, user-configurable options, somewehere under 'Options' --> 'Preferences'?
- Autoscale each individual chart
- Scale by highest chart
- Fixed at 100%
That would be awesome

If you update to version 12.20, then you can apply patch (just unzip the file and replace hostmon.exe and rcc.exe modules)
www.ks-soft.net/download/hm1221.zip
You will see "Same scale for all charts" option.
So far it may not work well for some tests (e.g. Traffic Monitor tests that use different units, e.g. MB vs KB) but for CPU Usage it should work fine.

Thanks for the quick response.
I see no rcc.exe in the zip though... |

We though you already downloaded it and removed RCC today.
Probably we will upload another update this afternoon.
