Execute shell script

Post by vidyagana »

Hi Alex,

I have the following situation. I created a .bat file in a Windows 2000 Server and created a shell script using script manager to execute the .bat file. This batch file executes an Oracle script and spools the results to a file. After configuring the script using Script Manager I went to the "Let's try" tab and tried to test the script. I gave a timeout of 10 sec and I am getting a display as:

"Error: Script timed out". But the result file is getting created. Anyway due to the timeout message I increased the timeout from 10 sec to 0 sec and still I am not getting any response (the screen is just hanging).

Also, if I try to just run the test, no matter what the timeout is, the result is as follows:

Status: Unknown
Reply: Error: Script timed out.

Please let me know what the problem is.

Thanks.

Don't see any mistake in ver 5.34. I think problem is in your script. Have you executed your bat file from command line?

Alex
