Active RMA/URL test - HTTP can't follow a redirect - can it?

Post by greyhat64 »

Because active RMA doesn't support the HTTP test method I'm left with the URL method. The site in question redirects to a logon dialog. I would like to test content to ensure that the logon page has, indeed, been reached. Unfortunately there is no "Follow redirect" option for URL testing.

What do I do?

There is "Code 302 (redirect) is Ok" option supported by URL test. However HostMonitor does not check target (redirected) page.
I think we can improve this in next version.

I think for now you may setup URL test to check target page.. or you may setup 2 URL tests to check both pages.

Thanks for the reply. I also seem to recall that you're working to include HTTP testing in Active RMA soon.
Right now I can't check the target page because of inconsistencies that our application developers have yet to explain. :x
So, for now, I'll simply look forward to that next version.
