WBEM over HTTPS

Hi guys,

I am trying to query a ESX host via WBEM. I understand this is almost identical to WMI with the exception that its over HTTPS (or HTTP) instead of RPC.

Is there any way I can get AHM to query a device via WBEM using HTTP (port 5989).

Would be great if this was built into the server?

H'm, I don't think WMI and WBEM are related technologies

I would suggest to use SNMP Get test to check ESX host, it supports SNMP protocol.

I'm told (by our sys admins) that its not possible to get everything we require from SNMP.

I see WBEM can be used (which is similar to WMI but uses HTTP/S).

So can AHD support WBEM?

Sorry, HostMonitor does not support WBEM.
