Options "Cannot sent settings to HostMonitor" erro

Post by Steve-Impact »

Hello
I have just added some settings to allow host monitor to save its log files to a SQL server...

So I entered all the SQL details and tested fine when using the test button - HM dumps data into the SQL DB

Press the Save button and I get the following message

"Error: Cannot sent settings to HostMonitor
HostMonitor response: Warning. Cannot logon as user "administrator". Logon failiure. unknown user name or bad password."

the HostMonitor service is running on a Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit box, and using RCC to connect and change settings, either on the server itself or on a Windows 7 box. I have tried loading RCC using right click> "run as administrator" option - however that results in the same error message.

It seems as though my SQL settings are in place - however I have yet to see HM log to the database

Running HM 8.32

Looks like you have specified administrator account and wrong password for this account. Please check your settings on Service page in the Options dialog (HostMonitor/RCC Options dialog).
