Hey I want to know if the hostmonitor knows to take email and put into a database?

No. We don't think such "test" can be useful for many customers.

We really like the idea of receiving email. We wrote a script to convert email to log, but I have lots of devices that only send email.

Normally devices that are designed for interaction with other software use some standard protocols like SNMP, WMI, HTTP...
E-mails more useful for humans :roll: What kind of devices do you use? May be these devices support some other protocols as well?

Also, Advanced Host Monitor is monitoring software. This means it should check device status, not just copy e-mail into database. This sounds like task for Exchange not HostMonitor.
