Hi,
i have update HM to 8.6.8 and some Performance Counter Objects is missing.
For example i monitor some Performance Elements of HP EVA 4000 on Windows 2003 (HM Server running on Win 2003 SP2 too) and after i switched to the new HM Version the Tests replay "unknown" and i can't choose this in Counter-Source Dialog
For Example the Check-Counter line contain this:
\\ServerXY\HP EVA Storage Array(5000-1FE1-500D-4100)\Total host Req/s
But i cant find "HP EVA Storage Array" now
Some Performance Counter Objects are missing in 8.6.8
This has nothing to do with HostMonitor update. HostMonitor calls Windows API that shows you performance counters. If you miss some counters that were available earlier, probably somebody disabled some DLLs on target system.
Microsoft provides "Extensible Counter List" utility. This utility displays list of DLLs that are used to support Performance Counters, using the utility you may disable/enable specific DLLs.
This utility for Windows 2003 is included into Windows 2003 Support Tools package

When HostMonitor cannot perform some test and sets Unknown status it also shows error description in Reply field on the test. What exactly error do you see there?after i switched to the new HM Version the Tests replay "unknown" and i can't choose this in Counter-Source Dialog

We dont know. May be you installed some other update at the same time, may be some 3rd party software disabled DLL, may be some bug in that DLL leads to problems.but why dies this work until i updated this?
We just sure that HostMonitor cannot disable Performance Counters DLLs by itself - there is no such code built-in HostMonitor.
Well, this means DLL is disable or it does not work properly. The failed test shown follow Reply description: Error: The specified object is not found on the system.
Please use "Extensible Counter List" utility from Microsoft to check what is wrong.

That's strange... Can HostMonitor check other counters (standard Windows counters) on the same system? But if i use the local Performance-Monitor on the monitored Server, so i can find all Counters
