Can Hostmon check incoming mail directly?

Can Hostmon check incoming mail directly?

We use Hostmon (verison 8.82) and we wish to know if it is possible to check the actual arrival of an email into our system (say, to monitor a specific mailbox or our exchange server).

Our externally sourced mail comes in on a VIP on our firewall and hits a server with MailMarshal installed. If it passes the tests it then gets passed to our exchange server for delivery.

Is there anything Hostmon can do to ensure that either:
1) Mail is hitting our exchange server
2) Mail is actually being completely delievered to our inboxes.

It is important to note here that I am not talking about simply monitoring the MailMarshal or Exchange Services, but actually confirming that a particular message has gone all the way.

I'm curious to see what setup others are using.
