You may create test using RCC but in some cases you have to type name of ODBC data source manually (when HostMonitor started on remote system).
If test should be performed by RMA, its not a problem because RMA sends list of data sources to RCC.
We plan to implement the same option for HostMonitor<->RCC connection.

If I understand correctly, ONLY on a server I do odbc sql query's ..

tests should be performed on a server all the time.
not on a RMA ( not installed) or not a RCC any time...

RCC is used only to admin tests ?... Does the hm service jump from server to pc at that session..

RCC cannot see dsn which are on a server, RCC i remote pc..

ODBC tests can be performed by HostMonitor or RMA agent.
RCC doesn't perform any tests. It's interface that allows you to manage HostMonitor remotely.

Please check the manual or visit our web site for more information at:

Correct.

RCC is used to manage HostMonitor (not to perform tests). All tests are performed by HostMonitor or RMA agents.

Correct. If RCC and HostMonitor located on different servers, RCC can't see ODBC DNS names from remote HostMonitor server.

However, if you know DNS name, you may type it manuall in RCC.
