File size changed

Post by Kris »

Hiya all,

I would like to monitor the size of a file, but I only want a notification when the file changed size, compared to the last test.

So the BAD status would be triggered only when the tested filesize is different from the previous tested filesize.

Would that be possible?

Cheers!

You may use File Integrity test instead.
Option "Recalculate RCR when file content changes detected" should be enabled.

Please check for details at:

Hmmmm we're talking about a SQL datbase file here.
It's 59GB at the moment, I just want to get notified when it has grown another GB (without having to adjust the treshold every time :-) )

Then you need Folder/File Size test.
Set high threshold value (e.g. 999 GB)
and enable "Use Warning status if" option with expression like the following:
'%SuggestedReply%'<>'%SuggestedLastReply%'
