Hi support,
We are using Hostmonitor v9.10.
If there is a failure or problem we send a sms to our phones.
This always worked.
Since a couple weeks we can send to only one gsm the failures.

SMS to 2 gms's (error)
Hi Alex,
Yes it works when i send manually SMS with the test option.
I get the test sms.
The log give me also a error:
Sending...
Com port open .. Ok
GSM modem initialization .. Ok
Error: Cannot send message to +316********. GSM modem error. No reply on AT command: AT+CMGS=24>0001000B911356215971F500F00CD4F29C0E6A97E7F3F0B90C
Com port close .. Ok
GSM modem deinitialization .. Ok
So you say that the sms option in HostMonitor not working fine?

You report the problem, you are saying its not working fine.So you say that the sms option in HostMonitor not working fine?
I said its impossible to investigate such problem because regular GSM modems (cell phones) do not provide any usefull diagnostics. Why it worked before? What was changed? Why modem sends 1 SMS and does not send another? We don't know because all we see "No reply on AT command". How this can help us?
That's why we cannot do much. We just can guess.
I guess its not problem related to modem, HostMonitor or settings. If there are some settings related problem (wrong baud rate) then
a) it would not be able to send any SMS (but it sends SMS to 1st number)
b) it would show error related to different AT command (ok, sometimes it can be exactly CMGC no reply caused by baud rate but this would work the same for any destination number)
ans so on.
I assume modem does not answer because waits for answer from service center, service center for some reason does not answer when +31651295175 destination number is in use. In other words: probably this problem can be investigated by service provider.
Lets try the following
1) add registry key KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KS-Soft\GSMX
add DefaultRecTimeOut: DWORD, set some value above 6000, try 12000 or 20000, 30000.
restart HostMonitor.
If step #1 will not help, lets try next step
2) add 3 new DWORD variabled under the same registry key
SMS_MT = 0
SMS_DS = 0
SMS_Indication = 0
restart HostMonitor.
Helps?
On the other hand, may be we misunderstood your post?
You said
1) modem was able to sent SMS (the same message body?) to 2 different numbers. At the same time you said
--------
OLD log both gsm's gets an sms
[26-4-2013 20:19:20] Sys SMS to +31620446961 has been sent.
[26-4-2013 20:19:27] Sys Error: Cannot send message to +31651295175. GSM modem error. No reply on AT command
-------
It shows error! Do you mean: HostMonitor reported error for 2nd number but SMS was delived without problems?
2) You said "Since a couple weeks we can send to only one gsm the failures". While quoted the following log
--------
[23-5-2013 11:01:27] Sys Error: Cannot send message to +316********. GSM modem error. No reply on AT command: AT+CMGS=105>0001...
[23-5-2013 11:01:34] Sys Error: Cannot send message to +316********. GSM modem error. Cannot send SMS: canceled
-------
Is first +316******** and second +316******** represent the same number or different numbers? Do you mean HostMonitor shows 2 errors but 1 SMS was delivered without problems? Or no SMS was delivered?
Or both errors related to the same number?
Regards
Alex
Hi Alex,
Thanx for your answer.
The strange thing is that we have changed nothing when the problem starts.
Only in the SMSLog you see a error on the 2nd number.
Hostmonitor delivered the sms to the 1st phone number.
The 2nd number gets no sms.
I change the order of phone numbers. Still the same; 1st number gets sms, 2nd doesn't.
Regards,
Frank

I set de register keys and restart Hostmonitor, no difference.Lets try the following
1) add registry key KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KS-Soft\GSMX
add DefaultRecTimeOut: DWORD, set some value above 6000, try 12000 or 20000, 30000.

Yes, Hostmonitor delivered both sms without problems.1) modem was able to sent SMS (the same message body?) to 2 different numbers. At the same time you said
