upgrade hostmonitor

we want to upgrade our licensed host monitor ver 4.86 to the latest version. i have 2 question.

1) if we buy only upgrade ($399), will it upgrade our current ver to the latest version ?

2) and if we buy the upgrade ($399), is it a setup and will install as a new version ? i mean without our current version it can be installed ?

If you have Enterprise license for version 4, yes, you can order update to latest version for $399

It can be installed without old version.
But I assume you want to keep your existing settings? Then you should use "Update/Repair" installation option.

May be you want to keep old software and install new HostMonitor on different system?
Then you should buy new license ($799).
Update does not provide 2nd license, its update of your existing license. 1 license = 1 installation (however you can move software from one system to another).

thnx Alex.. yes we want to keep existing settings. nd definitely looking for upgrade

i had also emailed to your support staff few weeks ago nd got a reply tht we have never tested upgrade directly from ver 4.86 to the current version..

so i m jst in doubt if buy the upgrade, will it upgrade our ver as its not tested frm your side..

Do you mean you have not received answer from us?
your domain my.web.pk? We received 3 e-mails from you within last 2 months and sent answers the same day. You may check your spam filter settings and add our domain into white list.

Yes, we did not test direct update from version 4 to version 9, that's why we recommended you to make backup copy before such update.
- make backup (simple copy or zip HostMonitor files),
- download new version,
- start installation program, make sure "Update/Repair" option is selected,
- finish installation, start HostMonitor,
- if anything wrong, stop HostMonitor, restore files from backup
Its 5 min job.
