ODBC Trouble

Post by azazel »

Hello,

i´m using HM 9.58. 2 RCC Clients are connected.

I configured 2 ODBC Tests (running two differnet "select count" statements against the same database-table) . the tests are executed by the HM Server.

Both Tests are using the same system dsn. Both Tests are working fine if one test is paused. If both tests are running at the same time, the tests seems to stop working. No error is visible. Only the Status remains on "Checking..."...

I must close and restart the hostmonitor before the tests can run again.

will i need two different system dsn? is this a bug? whats the failure?

Thank you very much!

What ODBC driver do you use? MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL,...?
Oracle ODBC drivers often have a lot of bugs, we do not recommend to use them. Microsoft ODBC Driver for Oracle dirver can be used instead.
If ODBC tests work well when running one by one, you may move test items into one folder, open folder properties -> Specials -> mark "Non-simultaneously test execution"

Please check for details at:

Hello!

That was it! I configured one folder with the option »Non-simultaneously test execution«. Since the option is enabled - both tests run fine!

Thank you very much!

Still the question is - what ODBC driver do you use?
Oracle drivers may lead to many problems for entire Windows system.
