Monitoring Provider Bandwidth

Is there any recommendation on how I can monitor the up/down bandwidth out to the internet?

I know it many not be 100% accurate, but I'd like to monitor anyway.

HostMonitor has Traffic Monitor test method. It allows to retrieve traffic statistics from SNMP-enabled routers.
Using this test method you may monitor specific interface (e.g. WAN).
