Connection Manager

Alex,

I am not sure how to use connection manager.

I want to log in to a switch that uses SSH, so I will use the SSH test method.

For example:
Switch Friendly Name: HP1
Switch Address:192.168.1.1
Switch SSH username:test
Switch SSH Password:test1

Is the below information correct for setting up connection manager for the switch?

Resource (UNC):HP1
Server or Domain:192.168.1.1
login:test
password:test1
method:Keep Active Connection

If I have 10 switches all using the same username and password how would I configure the connection manager, use the * for the resource? or a range of IP Addresses?

You may specify UNC using IP or hostname.
E.g.
Resource (UNC): \\HP1
Server or Domain: 192.168.1.1
OR
Resource (UNC): \\192.168.1.1
Server or Domain: 192.168.1.1
OR
Resource (UNC): \\HP1
Server or Domain: HP1
OR
Resource (UNC): \\HP1
Server or Domain: *
For multiple switches you may use the following settings:
Resource (UNC): 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.50
Server or Domain: *
OR
Resource (UNC): *
Server or Domain: *

Please note, if Test item uses IP, it's better to use IP as UNC resource in Connection Manager, if test item uses hostname - it's better to use hostname in Connection Manager.
