RCC under wine

Some years ago RCC work fine under wine by using win98 emulation in wine. But then wine developer remove win98 support. Earliest version is now Windows XP and bug return:

Connection error. Cannot retrieve error description (error #10022)

I tried with RCC from newest version of HM. Why RCC still not updated for so long time? That error indicate that Winsock 1.1 still used instead normal Winsock 2. This will work in native Windows environment but prevent using RCC in Wine...

Since July 2014?
Because it works with HostMonitor. When we release new version of HostMonitor, we also will release new RCC.

As I see RCC uses Winsock 2.2.
May be there are some old code left... when exactly do you receive this error? When you are trying to connect to HostMonitor?

Yes, when i try connect to remote HM under wine. From any Windows everything work fine. This happen just when RCC try connect to destination address.

We checked and changed code (yes, couple modules used winsock 1.1) but this did not help, RCC still does not work under Wine 1.0, 1.6...)

Does anybody else need RCC under Wine?

I use wine 1.7 btw. If you use gekko to make request i guess you need check that code too because there also some changes happen.
