RCC remote connections

Post by dkurfurst »

I am planning on using RCC on a laptop that I use when I travel to all of my different office locations. The problem that I have is I am using DHCP at my locations and have no way of knowing what my IP address will be untill I am at that location. Is there a way to setup a profile that will allow me to connect from an entire subnet ? Can I specifiy 10.1.1.0/255.255.225.0 or some thing else ?

HostMonitor: now you may use '0.0.0.0' IP address in "Accept remote connections from" list (User Profiles dialog). If you specify 0.0.0.0 address, HostMonitor will accept incoming connections from ANY address

0.0.0.0 is nice, but 10.1.0.0/255.255.0.0 would me much much nicer !

The same "what's new" page says
HostMonitor: now you may specify ranges of IP addresses from which a connection may be accepted
So you may type 10.0.0.1 - 10.255.255.255
There is one peculiarity: if you want to allow addresses below AND above 128.0.0.1, you should use 2 ranges 0.0.0.0-127.255.255.255 and 128.0.0.1-255.255.255
