RCI Status not Active

Post by Sriniratnam »

Need some help. When I restarted the HM, my configured RCI did not activate. And I got this error message: "4:38:23 PM Error: cannot open port #1054. Probably port in use" I also got a message "Make sure you have started just one instance of HM". I shut down everything and restarted with no other HM instance running, still I get the same message.

When I change the listening port #8080, I didn't get any error message, the RCI was active. And I reconfigure the HM WebService to communicate to the same port 8080 to RCI. I couldn't browse to the HM with a message "Transmission error (Web Service <-> HostMonitor): "Cannot read data""

I am running Host Monitor 7.52.

Appreciate any help or advice.
Thank you.

This means some other software uses port 1054. That's it.

May we see your settings? You may send sreenshots or configuration files (hostmon.ini and webservice.ini) to support@ks-soft.net
