SNMP Traffic Monitor Error

Post by Nic »

Hi there, can't find any mention of this anywhere but apologies if it's been answered already.

I am evaluating the software, and must say I love it! About half way through the trial period, and have set up some very useful alerting rules that seem to fit our business very well.

But just hit a snag. Monitoring routers and other devices so far has been relatively easy with SNMP get and Traffic Monitor, but I am now trying to add a different device: Draytek Vigor2950, and can't get the traffic monitor to read the interface list.

When clicking "choose network interface", I get the error:

Error: Interface index, invalid number

I have already checked connectivity via another SNMP tester, and used MIBBrowser to check its also working with the correct OIDs.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I really need to get this working if we are to proceed with purchasing the product. It ticks every other box at the moment!

Thanks

Nic

What version of HostMonitor do you use?
Can we access your device for testing?

Looks like device provides incorrect information: OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0 (ifNumber) returns 5 = 5 interfaces on device
While interface table contains just 3 interfaces.

You may setup HostMonitor to check traffic on "all interfaces" or correct the problem somehow.... may be there is new firmware for this device?
