I got notification for version update.
How to update without loosing the settings?

If you want to move HostMonitor from one system to another, yes you can use method described in the article.

How to update without loosing the settings?

Just start installation program and choose "Update/Repair" mode. Actually software chooses this mode automatically when it finds old version on the system
