Problem with Performance Counter

Post by remilner82 »

I am trying to add a performace counter for average disk queue length for a remote mail server, which is using an agent which is installed on a monitoring server for that site.

When I try to select a counter to use, I tell the application to try and get the counters from the remote computer. When I do this, I get an error saying "Unable to connect to machine". I have checked that the RMAgent service on the remote server is running as a Domain Admin user, along with the AD credentials for Performance Log Users and Performance Monitor Users.

I have read the manual as well, and the registry key change mentioned there should not be needed in this case as the service already has read access with being in the Performance Log Users group.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

HostMonitor cannot retrieve list of performance counters using RMA :(
It always requests counters directly.

I think you can select similar counter using local computer and then just change name of target system manually
