Monitor new files

Hi,

I have an application which writes its error to text files in specific folder.

Each error is written to new file.

I want to get an email each time a new text file is created, with the content of the file.

How?

You may setup "File/Folder Availability" test using %NewestFile% variable, add "Send e-mail" action into action profile assigned to the test and use <<IncludeFile=%FileName%>> directive in e-mail template.

The file which needs to be attached is located on the remote machine where the agent is installed.

Does the file needs to be accessible through the network, or the attachment can be done with the agent in some way?

No, RMA cannot send file to HostMonitor...
If HostMonitor does not have access to the file, I think you need some external application that will send e-mail. HostMonitor can tell RMA to start this application using "Execute external program" action.
