WaveCom SMS

Hello

We have a Wavecom modem and trying to get an sms out.
I have configured:
baud rate at 115200
Modem Type WaveCom
Mode PDU
PIN xxx
Service center +localnumberServiceCenter

I try to send a test SMS but I get an error stating:
Error: Cannot send message to xxxxx. GSM modem error. Error was returned: ERROR; Error : 4

What exactly modem model do you use ?
Could you try to decrease baud rate ?
Also, you may try to change Mode from PDU to TEXT.

Have you tried to send SMS using modem software ? Does it work ?

Most modems do not provide any useful diagoistics so its hard to investigate problems

For begining I would set baud rate to 19200

I havent tried via SW, I'll check tomorow if I got any at all also with the excact model name,

If I decrease the baud rate to 19200 I get:
No reply on AT command: ATE1

Alo no difference beetween PDU an TEXT moreonly KS-soft says that text mode not supported by model...

If it makes any difference the SW is installed on Win7 64 bit Home.

According to WaveCom manuals modem can return "Error: 4" when application uses AT+COPS or AT+VTS commands. But HostMonitor does not use such commands.

Could you please try test program www.ks-soft.net/download/test/GSMCenter.zip ?
Please, setup "SMS Log file" and "GSM-AT Logfile" files and try to send SMS.
Please send both log files back to us (support@ks-soft.net)?

It's working now.

The trick was I had to go to www.sierrawireless.com, register, download their software. Start the discovery tool, then reconfigure the device to use external SIM card after that it started to work.

I did a restart of the computer, Turned off all of the electricity and still works.
