DELL RAID

For some DELL RAID devices I use:
1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.130.1.1.5.1

But you should be able to find this info on the manufacturers website or documentation.

Well, one of the servers is indeed a Windows 2000 Server, thanks!

However, the other one is in fact a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with Service Pack 1. It is in use as a Citrix Terminal Server.
Any ideas?

Invalid Class?

We test several servers (40+), all with AHM 6.80, RMA 3.38. We use WMI test to monitor free physical memory (select AvailableKBytes from Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfOS_Memory) On almost all servers this works great, however on 2 specific servers an error is returned: Invalid Class What could be caus...

Max, that sounds about right. And then I want to have the percentage of uptime calculated. This would be the actual uptime, right?

How do I do this?

AND: I need a similar method of checking for Windows Services (i.e. Exchange, SQL, etc.)

"Unfortunately" I have to check a lot of servers, at many different locations. I found the events from the Windows eventlog: Eventlog 6006 for shutdown and Eventlog 6009 for startup. But how can I use these within AHM? Or how do I script this? Is there a script that is run by RMA, which ca...

Uptime of service?

I need to monitor the total uptime of a service in %. I want to check a remote server using the RMA (3.35), via an internet connection. However, this test cannot be made dependent on the internet connection or AHM not being able to connect..... I need the ACTUAL uptime. I searched the forum and foun...

Ok, that covers the hardware-RAIDs. Any idea on software-RAID, i.e. Windows Mirroring?
Is there an error in the eventlog I can check on, when the " RAID" fails?

How to check RAID?

For a number of customers I have to check the functionality of the RAID configuration. (Some are hardware RAID (DELL and HP), some are software/Windows RAID).
How do I go about monitoring this?

HM: 6.04
RMA: 3.35

Platforms are all Windows (2000/2003)

Could you install RMA on Server2 as well? Alex, that would probably solve my problem, but it would mean a great deal more work for me. (This is not the only situation in which this is a problem). I was hoping there'd be an easier solution. Or perhaps anyone has any idea which patch/update caused th...
