RMA agent

Post by dullaertd »

Hi,

When I run the RMA as an application on a server, HM can perform its test. But when I close the app and run the service, HM gives me a "RMA: connection error".

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance..

Could you provide more information, please?
- What version of HostMonitor do you use?
- What Windows do you use? Service Pack?
- What version of RMA do you use?
- What type of RMA do you use: active or passive?

Please, ensure the service points to the same direction as application. You may check "Path to executable" field on "General" tab for the "KS Remote Monitoring Agent" in standard Windows "Services" applet.
Do you see any errors in log files on RMA side?
What account have you specified for RMA service? We recommend to start RMA under admins account. You may specify certain account for RMA service using standard Windows "Services" applet.

Max

-HostMonitor 7.10
-Windows Server 2003 for small business, SP2
-RMA provided by install-file of HostMonitor 7.10

The service runs under the "local system account"..
