I found a curious thing when I use HM to monitor if a file is "alive" and if it is not to old:
On one of my server (NT4) The test is on \myserverd$filename.txt and it work.
On an other one (NT4 too), if I put the same test, it doesn't work, but if I put \myserverd$filename without the extension ".txt" It works.
"it doesn't work"? Could you please explain what that means? Some error? or wrong status? what status? What test properties? Do you use "Reverse alert" option?
When I check if file "exist" the test become "bad" unless it is present on the server.
If I check if the file "not exist" the test become "bad" too.
If I remove the extension of the file (.dmp)
in the test line and test if file "exist", the test is "good".
I hope you will understand....
As I see in configuration you also check modification time of the file. If the file was modified 11 (or less) days ago, status of the test will be BAD.
What modification time of the file?
