Alerts Disappear when not in schedule

Post by Matt Wardle »

Hi,

We use schedules to test log files everyday.

However, when the test returns as bad and the schedule ends, the test disappear from our 'Bad' View.

Is there anyway to get them to stay in this view even when they are out of schedule???

It has caused us to miss a few critical errors now!

Thanks

If you need to start test once a day, you may use Irregular Schedule mode and "Start test once a day" option. In such case HostMonitor will not assign "Out of schedule" status to the test.

It is chekcing a log file has been updated and the logs only get updated monday to saturday, so option does not work!

Thanks

So you are using regular intervals with some schedule restrictions (Monday-Saturday) for these tests? Then yes, HostMonitor will set OutOfSchedule status on Sunday.
Solutions? I think you may setup View to display OutOfSchedule items as well or you may setup special View for these test items or you may check test status using Folder Tree.

On the other hand, if test is not performed in Sunday why it is important to check its status on Sunday? If test fails on Friday, problem should be checked and corrected on Friday, isn't it?
