Log Analyzer and ODBC logs manager

Hi Alex,

I'm experience some problem with Log Analyzer when I was trying to connect to the HostMonitor log on SQL Server through ODBC logs manager. Here is the error "Error: Access violation at address 77F87EEB in module 'ntdll.dll'. Read of address 00000018". Note this error occurred right after I clicked to the test button and it was return right count but since that it was returning only errors.

What version of Microsoft ODBC Manager do you have installed?

Bug in new versions of Microsoft ODBC Manager (odbc32.dll version 4.00.6304.00, 4.00.6305.00 and may be some other) may lead to access violation error and memory leakage. If you experience such problem, install Log Analyzer version 5.03 (or higher) and add 2 lines into logsman.ini file:
[Misc]
ReleaseHDBC=0
This will eliminate access violation error. Unfortunatelly we have not found a way to avoid memory leakage. Hopefully Microsoft will fix this problem soon.

So, you are using ODBC Manager 4.?? What exactly version?
I am afraid it leads to memory leak in HostMonitor (if you are using ODBC log or ODBC query). And we cannot fix that bug

Only Microsoft can do that...
