At the moment it is not possible to use the default macro variables in the header of a custom html report (only header/footer macro variables are available).
I want to use a %CommentLine6% macro here, to simulate a toolbar.
Will this be possible in the (near) future?
Custom HTM Reports and macro variables

Yes, of course.

Sorry, I do not understand. Do you want to use different headers for different folders?

Yes, of course.

No, just the other way around. I want to use one custom html report (actually three) for each first sub-folder. If I have the %Folder% macro available for the header I can use this to create a navigation part. I use this to seperate every first sub-folder to a different web-page, but still be able to navigate to each page.
On the moment I must use three reports for every first sub-folder. When the %Folder% macro is available at the header part, I can use three reports for all sub-folders.

I know, I do use the %Folder% macro to seperate the tests on a server basis. But there is only one folder from which the report starts. It's that folder name I'm interested in.On 2002-12-19 14:08, KS-Soft wrote:
I see your point but... In common case report can contain many folders,
Since I assume the header will be generated before browsing through any subfolder, the %Folder% macro would be sufficient. But of course a new macro (e.g. %TopFolder%) could also be the solution for me.
My folder setup is:
root
rootlocation1server1
rootlocation1server2
rootlocation2server1
rootlocation2server2
etc.
I generate a report (including subfolders) for location1, location2, etc.
I have links on every html page which go to location1, location2, etc. These links are set on the header tab of the custom html report (I only want the links once on each html page).
Right now I have to create a different report for location1, location2, etc.
If the %Folder% macro is available, I can use one report for all locations. It would make it much easier to add a new location, since I only have to change the report once, instead of changing every report for every location (a new location means a new link on the html page, which means a new header).
BTW, it does work ok on the moment, it's just a lot of work to add a new location.
Ok, there is update at http://www.ks-soft.net/download/hm354.zip
But this fuature will not be documented, its just for your needs
