All questions related to installations, configurations and maintenance of Advanced Host Monitor (including additional tools such as RMA for Windows, RMA Manager, Web Servie, RCC).
I see the following on an instance upgraded from 7.52:
When I edit an existing test it seems like HM automatically add a %CommentLine1% with the content "Service %object% on %host%".
The individual tests that I have seen this on have never had any Comment Lines.
If I try to delete %CommentLine1% by pressing CTRL+Delete it disappears from the GUI but after having closed the test and reopened it the %CommentLine1% is back with the content "Service %object% on %host%".
> You may use menu "Profiles" -> "Patterns" to deactivate "Comment line" substitution for certain test methods
Thanks - that did the trick.
Seems like I didn't even take the time to read the Quick Start Guide
Kapz,
Don't beat yourself up too badly. It's hard to keep up with all the features these guys keep throwing at us. Not that I'm complaining - it's a good problem to have.
May be we should change algorithm a little
- set name pattern when this field is empty while you either "adding" or "editing" test item. As it works now
- set comment pattern when the field is empty for "adding" mode only. Do not use comment patterns when you are editing existing test item
Changed this in different way. Now it works similar to old HostMonitor - it sets comment pattern when test name and comment fields are empty (and if there is active pattern of course). www.ks-soft.net/download/hm770b.zip
