All questions related to installations, configurations and maintenance of Advanced Host Monitor (including additional tools such as RMA for Windows, RMA Manager, Web Servie, RCC).
I am getting "RMA: Cannot open server socket" on my first attempt at a SNMP Trap test against an Active RMA on a remote server.
The RMA works for other tests and I don't understand what this means or how to fix it? I am a newbie when it comes to SNMP and especially SNMP traps, I have started the SNMP Trap service on the target server but I think I am a bit unsure about how to make sure everything is configured properly
Most likely some other application uses socket in exclusive mode so RMA cannot open port for listening.
You may use "netstat -a -b" command or Connection Monitor included into our software IP-Tools to find such application, close it, start RMA and then you may try to start that application again (or better do not start it if you don't really need it).
