One RMA for multiple machines

Post by sgunaydin »

Hi all,

I have a problem about settings on RMA. I have installed one RMA in a Windows machine. Let's call it "M1".And i need to define tests for another machine called "M2"with this RMA. M1 and M2 are on the same network. When i put the agent M1 for M2 i get the following reply: "RMA: 301 - Cannot connect to remote Registry. Code #5".

I can make test for M1 using agent M1. But not for M2.

Which settings should i do?

Thanks for any reply.

Regard.

Windows error #5 means "Access is denied".
I assume you are talking about CPU Usage, Performance Counter or Process test method? Then
1) Make sure you have started RMA under admin account
2) Make sure you have specified account with admin rights for this specific test (using Connection Manager or "Connect as" test property)

Thanks for the reply.

The problem occured because i didn't start RMA under admin account. Now, i can do CPU usage test. But when i try to do that with performance counter i can't connect to the computer. Even to the machine M1.

I m new at Hostmonitor.

CPU Usage and Performance Counter test requires the same set of rights.

Could you please explain what exactly means "i can't connect to the computer"?
What is the status of the test? Unknown? What error do you see in Reply field of the test?

The problem is that:
I have defined a CPU Usage test. But when i try to define a Performance Counter test. I cant select a counter on M1. When i write to the "Select counters from computer:" field the ip address of M1, it tells me "Unable to connect to machine."
What things have i missed to do?

I think if you already setup the test, error message in Reply field should be a little different.. May be you see this error message when you setup the test and click small button located beside "Check counter" field?
Then I would suggest to type counter name manually.
If I misunderstand the problem, please send screen shot to support@ks-soft.net
